Resolve the issue of multiple registration adding the same email address on all the records.

Multiple registration needs to be defined and refined to resolve the issue of a single email on several records.  Problem 1 - A team captain registers her team.  She most likely uses her email for all the members.  Those team member go to register this year, put in their username and request a password reset.  Who is getting the password reset?  The person who signed them up!  They have a user name, not their email, how do they get a password reset. Problem 2 - A team captain or a family member who signed up a group of people goes to register.  Don't remember their username, they put their email address in.  Guess who's name pops up?  Not theirs.  The first name on the list of who they signed up with using their email address.  And if they are not paying attention use that record and copy over someone else's record.  Problem 3:  Since Luminate DOES NOT dedup emails based on email address, constituents are receiving multiple emails because the email address is in multiple records. 

Here is my suggestion.  Three registration types need to be created:

Individual - self explanatory

Family Registration - a parent can register the whole family but the email address is only added on the primary record (person who creates the registration).  This makes sense since most of the family members are young children.

Team Registration - Team captain or team member can register multiple individuals on one registration but a unique email is required for each individual.

 

Something needs to be done about this.
