Ability to edit / change designee on sustaining gifts
Sometimes we have a case where a user will select a designee and enter a more specific designee in the comments. Perhaps the designee noted in comments was not an option on the donation form, or perhaps it wasn't created. Then, we subsequently create a designee, but the sustaining gift still comes through with the invalid designee + comments. This presents more manual work for our Gifts Processing staff.
Suggest adding ability to change the designee on sustaining gifts on admin side of Luminate

This is a growing problem for our organization. I see that this was submitted back in 2016 and there seems to be no progress on it yet.
After 5 years of using LO, we have about 600 monthly gifts that need to have the fund designation changed every time they are processed... This is very difficult for our gift processing staff who have to evaluate which gifts are not properly designated and continually correct.
Even if this only adds 30 seconds per gift each month (which is likely a low estimate), we're now at 5 HOURS of monthly staff time spent reclassifying gifts. This proposed change would allow us to correct gifts when they come in incorrectly by donors and save us literally hundreds of dollars and hours of extra work each month.
