Currently, there is an option to add a note about a company donation, but no such feature for donations from individuals. It would be very valuable to have a notes field for individual donors as well, so that you could record notes such as, "Check #12345 was a split gift to participant X and participant Y." 

As far as notes in batch uploads, why have a notes feature available on the site but not allow people to include notes in their batch uploads? The same goes for being able to get reports that include gift notes.
