We currently use this functionality on every email sent from Blackbaud Sphere and would like to be able to use it in Luminate. It doesn't make sense for me to send emails relating to support groups or events to people who do not live in the vicinity of the event. Doing so generates most unsubscribes because of getting messages that don't relate to them.
We also use this functionality when searching for constituents who do not have an email address but live within a certain radius of event location. Obviously, we don't want to incur expense of direct mailing constituents who do not live in vicinity of event.
An option I was given by Customer Support was to run queries of all of the zip codes in that area. if I had to determine all of the individual zip codes and then add all of those individually to a zip code query in Luminate, that would be an extremely time-consuming effort. For example, I just used a zip code tool to search for zip codes within a 50-mile radius (options are limited) and it came up with 100 (results are limited to 100).

We are pleased to announce that this feature has been fully rolled out to all clients and is available for use in LO Beta!
Hi folks, this feature is planned to start rolling out in the next month. Look for it in Luminate Beta soon. Oh and yes, it will have Canadian geolocations too!
I am switching from Sphere to LO and this is KILLING me. We do a lot of programs in a lot of places and use the zip code radius pull in query all. the. time.
And postal codes for us Canadians please!
