Create the opportunity to receive instant notifications when a sustaining donors signs up, cancels, or adjust their gift amount.

When one of these changes happens, you want to know right away so you can respond timely to the donor. By doing daily/weekly/monthly reports to pull this information, it is already too late.

    Hi Ken,

I'll admit I'm not super tech savvy, so I don't understand everything you said... but sure, I'll give this a try. In terms of the notifications-- I think people should be able to determine how often they want to receive them. But they should have the option in the first place to determine that.

    Best,
    Monica

Hi Monica, we are working on a notifications system for next gen and the first phase will come out with v1.0 however we'll need more input over time.

One question that we have been talking about lately is the idea of how much volume of notifications to put through that system so users don't start ignoring it. I think the above case would be a great topic to continue this discussion because this could potentially be a very large volume of messages for any user to receive.

Would you be interested in participating in discovery? I can pass your name along to the Product Manager in charge of it if so.

    Thanks,

    Ken
