It would be helpful when merging duplicates in Luminate CRM to have the option of applying a soft credit.  For example if a spouse donates and it creates a duplicate, when you merge the contacts it does not automatically apply the soft credit to the spouse, even though the relationship was set up in the household you are merging the contact.  I understand why you don't want to automatically apply the soft credit to the donation, but an option of the applying the soft credit during the merge process would alleviate an extra step of having to go back to the donation and applying the soft credit.
