We are running into increasing situations with third-party processors that are taking a cut of donations before processing. The latest case is with a company called Benevity. We have a need to record a donation and then apply a number of soft credit donations where the total of the soft crediting will exceed 100%. The reason for this is Benevity is deducting a processing fee and we need to record the exact amount on the record for Benevity as it is a donor advised fund, but we also must soft credit the donation for the full intent of their donation *before* Benevity deducts their processing fee. Thus, the total of the soft credits would be slightly above the actual check amount.
