There are some events where all funds are donated only to teams and never to individual participants. In this case, because participants would never receive donations personally, the new donor requirements for bypassing the Blackbaud email spam filter could not be satified by any individual participants. This is a fairly significant limitation.
I'm proposing that teams that receive at least a $5 donation should allow their Team Captains, and ideally their Team Members, to use the participant centre email feature.

I have taken note of this request but updating to "Will not implement" specifically because security requirements are placed on the individual participant today. There can still be participants that sign up for a team with no intention to fundraise but that have intention to be bad actors. We will continue to explore ways to identify how best to accomplish the goal to support participant communications in participant centers moving forward
