Allow donations from an Organization instead of a contact at an Organization

Allow Organization records to make donations.   We have Organizations that give gifts, such as sponsorships and general donations to our organizations, but they aren't from, nor should they be, credited to an individual at an organization.  They are from the overall Organization.  Organizations can have many contacts and the gift should not be tied to any of them.

I can't believe this change hasn't been implemented yet.

Yes this is a must. Organizations give gifts all the time. This needs to be done immediately.

This is crucial! We regularly receive donations from churches and organizations.

Ridiculous that this product does not allow for Organization giving.  It is missing 50% of the equation due to record types/giving can come only from Individuals or Organizations.

This is absolutely essential. We have so many donors that try and fit an organization name into the existing name fields, so as to properly assign their gift to the organization. Please address this issue in the upcoming cycle of development.

This is one of many sore spots we deal with on a daily basis!  I'm creating so many fake accounts using the name of the organization as the "Individual contact name" so that the receipts are issued in the proper name.  Not to mention Organizations do not come through the plugin into RE, and I have to manually enter these gifts into RE.

Agreed!  And often times at our organization, we wouldn't necessarily have a contact at all at the company the check is coming from.
