    Please fix this feature.

How has this Idea been on here for over 5 years without any progress?! The ability to do Action Alerts for Regulations.gov targets continues to be marketed as a feature of Blackbaud Advocacy, and the "Create Regulations.gov Target" button is still part of the Custom Target interface...yet this feature hasn't been working for 5+ years?!

Most customers don't even know about this Ideas Portal. So if Blackbaud is waiting for the Votes on this Idea to cross some magic threshold, then we'll all be waiting a long time.

Ultimately, touting a feature that can only be fixed if enough people vote on it strikes me as nothing more than a clever way for Blackbaud to avoid spending any resources to fix something that's supposed to be included with the Advocacy product.

Did this ever happen? I see 'Create Regulations.gov Target ' in Custom targets for advocacy but I get a "Technical Difficulties" page. What's the status here?

What is the latest word on this integration? Some other services are now offering an integration with regulations.gov

Can we get an update on the testing of the integration?

We are currently testing out an integration with regulations.gov.  From the testing we've done so far, the setup in the backend has some additional steps, but there will be more to come in January on this possible integration if all goes well.

Also, can we get an update on this integration, as we close in on the end of 2017?  Thanks Ryan!

This would be an incredibly useful tool for most of the organization using the Luminate platform.

We are currently evaluating an integration with regulations.gov for advocacy that would work in current gen.  We understand the priority for this and the current workaround isn't sustainable, so we are trying to target this integration for 2017.  Currently, we are researching the capabilities and how this would work within LO.  I also want to mention that it is a top requirement for our next gen advocacy tool.

How do we move this up the priority list? This is very important to our advocacy work and the ability to submit individual comments makes a big difference.

Does anyone know if the regulations.gov API has been released for public advocacy tools to use? The last official update from Luminate to this end was in 2013 and indicated the API would become available at some point for Luminate to send comments through to regulations.gov again.

We are competing for funding with organizations that have this capability. Without it, we're also losing out on potential member growth that enables us to pay for Blackbaud services. So, failing to escalate this issue is essentially biting the hand that feeds you. Why isn't that a tier-one concern?

critical to our work. Very badly needed.
Any idea when it will be activated?

Yes, the ability to use Convio's landing page to collect info and have access to measurable data while at the same time playing by Congress.gov's rules and submitting these comments individually through their custom portals is crucial for our organization. It's becoming more and more frequent that governmental organizations are requiring that comments be delivered through these online portals rather than via fax/email, and we need to be able to do this via Convio's software and not simply send our members a link to the online portal (because then we cannot track it; see comments; increase our membership with ad buys; etc). We want to make a difference and elicit comments, yes, but just as important is our ability to see the impact are campaigns are having. Thanks.

This is a huge issue for us.

This would be very useful to us. Seems to be getting more and more challenging for the public to weigh in on critical environmental issues. This would be a great way to help streamline the gov'ts comment protocol.

    Ken,

For Riverkeeper and countless environmental groups like us, being able to connect our constituents directly with regulations.gov is a huge feature that is lacking.

For example, we are currently engaged in a campaign that has caught the public zeitgeist and are seen as the leader on the issue regarding a proposal from the Coast Guard, in regulations.gov. Thousands of people have made comments because of us but we have had to send them directly to regulations.gov rather than being able to keep them on our website and collect their information to help keep them engaged and build our list.

If this feature could be prioritized for the next update, I and many many others would be eternally grateful.

    Sincerely,

    Jeremy Cherson

    Riverkeeper
