Adding a waitlist function to the Events page in Convio, so that when a support/donor would like to know if there is room after an event has sold out we will know such a list of donors exists and can be followed up with.
Supporters/donors and the hosting organization would both benefit. The supporters would know if there is a chance for them to attend a sold-out event, and the hosting organization would benefit since they can make a connection with the supporter and work to ensure the supporter will be happy.
It should work in a way that when the supporter goes to the event page to purchase a ticket, they'll see a sort of "sorry, this event/ticket level has sold out. If you would like to be added to the waitlist please click here" message. When they click to follow the link, they will put in their contact information (name, number, address, etc) as well as what ticket level(s) they would like and the quantity.
The organization could then pull a report from the events page of supporters who have signed up for the waitlist. The organization should be able to see the contact information and requested tickets.
