Changing how advocacy alert emails are delivered to targets

Right now when emails are sent to legislative (or other) targets - they are delivered from the sending organization on behalf of the constituent. This is extremely problematic as this signals (fairly or not) to the target that the email is not genuine and should be ignored.

I understand this is done for deliverability reasons - but there must be ways to do this more discretely than announcing the organization name to the recipient. In fact, I know there is. Other advocacy software delivers the email from the constituents address but the sender is the software domain - so in this case it would just be something like bounce@convio.com or bounce@blackbaud.com

Even if this would affect deliverability - I imagine many organizations would sacrifice that for appearances. As the emails are currently sent - they're borderline useless for advocacy purposes

Thanks for the feedback! The ability to customize the "organization" field on the emails currently exists within the product, we are also continuing to evaluate what additional steps can be taken to ensure DMARC compliance (deliverability) while also allowing the email appearance desired by clients/constituents. There is a thread in the community regarding this idea with some great information: https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/4/16128

We'll move this idea to future consideration and we would love to have additional client input and votes!
