allow test drives to be completed without having to make the event live.

It seems completely counter-intuitive that the event has to be live in order to do a test drive to test it out to make sure everything is properly in place. Why would I want to open an event and make it live before knowing it has been set up properly? Especially if I am new to using the platform, which I am. Very, very frustrating.
