We have enabled registration fees to count towards participants fundraising totals displayed on our landing page.  Even with this enabled LO should be able to differentiate between donations to a page and registrations, and therefore should be able to only apply the Personal Donation Badge when the participant makes a "true donation" to their page instead of a registration fee.
