This request is to automatically create groups in Cons360 for captains (including co-captains) the same way they do for participation types to allow for easier marketing/communications to team captains. Most job aids for marketing around events direct development teams to use email campaigns instead of coaching emails, so it’s quite difficult to email captains since the groups aren’t automatically created in the system. Also, coaching emails only send to one event at a time and more often than not all event sites are getting the same information so being able to send to the groups that are automatically created would be very helpful…otherwise staff have to run a registration report, filter out non-captains, then update a group in Convio any time they want to communicate to team captains on a broader scale.
The second piece of the captains/co-captains item was to include co-captains on the coaching emails in TeamRaisers that are sent to team captains only. However, if the groups in Cons360 are created, this would no longer be necessary.
