We should be able to consolidate all of our event groups (ie. I have 20 volunteer events that I have now consolidated the constituents into a group called "Club Blue Volunteers"), but now I want to get rid of all those groups that serve no purpose anymore. Because they are task-generated groups...I have no option to delete. So that makes my clean-up a moot point! : )

We have hundreds of these types of groups, some with dates as far back as 2008. This creates a ridiculous amount of clutter. Archiving is a fine option, but it would be preferable to have deleting available as an option to administrators.
We have over 400 groups now and it is really hard to find what you need when you are stuck with all of these system generated groups, MANY of which are empty from things like Teamraisers that ended years ago. We should be able to manage our our systems more.
I, too, would like this feature. Since the TeamRaisers create a separate group for each participation type (and I sometimes have 15-20 participation types), I have waaaaay too many unusable groups.
I would like to actually delete the groups, rather than archive them. Many of my task-created groups are empty and there is no reason to archive them. Plus, if I accidentally delete a group, I can easily re-create it by creating a query, no?
Along with empowering people to delete groups there is the risk people would accidentally delete them as well. Would you prefer a system similar to Pagebuilder where there is an archive function instead of a permanent delete?
