Add Event to Calendar

It'd be really awesome to have a feature that allows people to add the event that they signed up for to their calendar. One way this could be accomplished is by allowing Admins to upload .ics files in the document library. A step beyond that even is for this file to automatically be generated if the Admin selects for that. I understand there may be limits to the number of files we can save so allowing Admins to choose only the most important to have the .ics file. Another option would be for files to automatically terminate after the event start time. (Or even RSVP deadline)

    Any movement on this? I just spent almost an entire day getting a workaround to work so we could use an 'Add Giving Tuesday to your calendar' link in our Save the date emails.

    Since I see re the most recent Luminate Online/TeamRaiser quarterly update webinar that the rebuild of the Calendar Events module is as much as a year away still, I'm chiming in here on behalf of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston to request that this feature be made available ASAP!!

    Ken,

    Riverkeeper would also really appreciate this feature. It would not only help our staff, but really help us with attendance of events because if you let me upload our own ICS files I could program them to have automatic reminders.

    I have been asked several times by staff and patrons for this functionality in EVENTS.  Please put it on the list for product enhancements!

    Thanks for this input Meredith. Automating the creation of ICS files is something that I've been thinking about as well and have it on my list of features to consider when we are ready to rebuild or add more features to our Calendar/Events tool.
