Allow Local Companies to Appear Immediately Upon creation

We have noticed that with the changes to organizations, the local companies do not populate on the Company Page immediately, but only after a team is associated with it and there is fundraising. This is causing quite a headache and is putting a hiccup in our UX. We create unique URLs/redirects for many companies as an easy way for their teams to register and we can't do that until they show on the site. Please fix this to the way it was before!

With the 16.1 release that shipped in January/February of 2016, there was some optimization added to the way in which local companies were populated on the Company Page. Prior to this release, local companies were loaded based on what was in the local company database table, and as such, after creation, they would appear immediately on the Company Page. For optimization and consistency with National and Regional company behavior, a change was made so that the will only show up on the Company Page after a team is associated with the company, or if fundraising is associated to the company. To identify the URL after creation, go to the URL of an existing local company, replace the company ID in the URL with the company ID of the newly created company.

Hi Deanna, I'm checking with the product manager who developed this org feature to confirm if this is expected functionality or not. If not then we can open a bug for it so the team can address. I'll keep you posted on response.
