Currently, a donor entering their billing information is required to enter an email address. Is this mandatory as we have not seen this requirement online. This will cause friction.
Please make this an optional field and auto-populate the email address that the donor entered in the Donor contact information above.
If entering an email address is set to optional, this conflicts with the mandatory email address required in the billing section.

Hi Shaun, I’m glad this is under review.
Can I ask why you said the Direct Debit Account Holder email address is required to configure constituent records? Is it not the billing email address that is used to match and merge to the constituent record if it exists (and if not, then it is used to create one)?
If so, what other reason is there to require as mandatory the Account Holder email?
Hi Caroline, thank you for raising your feature suggestion on the LO Idea Bank. Currently, email address is a required Billing Information field within LO. This is because LO utilises email addresses to configure constituent records and a constituent record must be created before a transaction can be processed.
We are planning on reviewing LO required Billing Information fields in the second half of this year, called out on the LO 2025 roadmap shared at the recent PUB.
With regards to auto populating form data (billing fields) into the checkout embedded experience, this is a challenge we are currently facing. Something we are reviewing but have no current solution planned. I can confirm that population of form data does pull into the Checkout modal experience (due to the nature of the modal opening from the form via an iFrame).
