Currently, if you wish to offer recurring gifts for a TeamRaiser event, you must set the payments to end at the end of the campaign season so that future payments do not continue to credit a past season, and then the donor must create a new recurring donation for the new season. It would be great if we could move the soft-crediting of the recurring donation to a new season of the campaign once the season changes so the donor does not have to reconfigure a new recurring gift each year.

Today, if I set up a recurring gift to credit TeamRaiser Campaign 2022, and then in January the campaign changes to 2023, the gift will continue to credit 2022 if it isn't ended at the end of the season. If you were to leave it running, the 2023 campaign will not get the credit. And if you try to update the soft-credit on the existing recurring gift series to 2023, then all the old 2022 gifts are credited to 2023 - so that's not really an option currently. If we could have a more flexible soft-crediting for recurring gifts, we could save the donor some time and improve recurring gifts uptake in TeamRaiser by not having to cancel the gift series at the end of each season.
