have a way to disconnect facebook fundraisers

Scenario: a person has a facebook fundraiser.

A year later, the fundraiser is no longer active, and this person ends up registering for a new event in a way that inadvertently creates a new record (maybe a new address or email). When you go to merge these two records, there is a dilemma: you cannot merge the old record into the new one, because you can't merge a record with a facebook fundraiser into another record. However, if the new record has a current registration on it, you can't merge that into the old record, because you will lose the registration. The only solution at the moment is to contact support and have them disconnect the fundraiser from the old record. This is going to get old as I'm sure it's going to happen more and more!
