Biographic information entered by our end-user is downloaded from Luminate Online to our database of record.  With no address validation at the source of the data entry, the information provided is not in the format required by Canada Post.  In order to maintain the reduced postage rate for mailing of 1,000 or more, addresses must have a 95% accuracy to qualify for the reduced postage rates. 

Having the address validation tool used by all LO source forms would ensure addresses which are automatically downloaded into our database of record will meet the 95% accuracy.  Canada Post has a tool called AddressComplete uses intelligent and rapid searching to increase accuracy and relevancy.  This tool will save time and money, increase data accuracy, reduce incomplete address information, and improving overall experience for the end-user.

An address validation tool uses the information entered by the end-user to find a matching address.  Typing in either the postal code, street or address, the tool will find matching addresses.  The end-user will then choose the correct address which will be added to the appropriate address fields in the donation form, survey form, directory address information, or Constituent360 page.
